Rubik’s Cube is an old puzzle game. It is invented in 1974, and then sold in the toy shop since 1980 (Wikipedia). There are many type of Rubik, based on its size: 2x2x, 3x3x3, 4x4x4, 5x5x5, etc … or from its form.

Rubik’s Cube adalah permainan yang sudah lama ada. Ditemukan pada tahun 1974, dan diperjual-belikan sejak tahun 1980 (Wikipedia). Ada berbagai macam Rubik, sesuai dengan ukurannya : 2x2x2, 3x3x3, 4x4x4, 5x5x5, dan seterusnya … atau dari bentuknya.

Waktu kuliah, saya mulai menyenangi permainan ini, dengan tujuan untuk membuat ke-enam sisi (dulu, tahunya Rubik itu ya yang ukuran 3x3x3 aja) -nya sama. Entah siapa yang ngajarin (ma’af, bener-bener lupa, itu udah 20 tahun yang lalu), akhirnya saya bisa, dengan menggunakan beberapa “rumus”. Yang saya inget, bikinnya harus layer demi layer. Layer pertama bener-bener “tanpa formula”, karena harus menjadi kebiasaan. Masih bisa dinalar :)

Layer kedua udah mulai pake rumus, tapi gampang diinget (belajar sehari atau setengah hari juga bakalan apal). Nah, layer ketiga adalah layer yang paling susah, karena harus menggunakan beberapa rumus.

Just a short intermezzo in this blog …

Just to reserve this acronim, TEAM which means “Talk Enough Action More”. Just a seconds before I wrote this, I try to search that word “Talk Enough Action More” (with the double-quotes) using Google, and found NO result …

Just to make a test, if the searching after this for that sequence is linking to this blog :) In my opinion, that acronim and wording are much better than “Talk Less Do More” ones which is currently used to fight with “No Action Talk Only / NATO” ones … Why? Because the meaning of “Talk Enough Action More” is highly related to the word TEAM.

So … enjoy this new “TEAM” - Talk Enough Action More …

This week is my 3rd weeks of playing Nintendo WII console. Hehehe … I bought this console after discussing with a friend about providing a game devices for our children. He said that, better for me to buy the WII, because playing WII means doing a moving activities, not just pushing the button like all other game devices, and that is good for our children.

And now, I totally agree with that. WII is different. WII means “body activity”, not just moving our finger.

But wait … this blog is not about talking what WII is. I like to share about hacking the WII console. I’m purely newbie in this area, that’s why I googling intensively about WII, and after 3 weeks, I found some interesting stuff about WII hacking.

1. Bannerbomb is a tools (or exploit?) to run an external application (ELF/DOL file) stored in the WII SD Card. This exploit need a specific binary file stored in the SD Card, and WII Channel menu to active it.

I just bought some PSP’s for my family (I have 2 kids) … Hehehe … yes, it is old stuff, but new in my daily activities. I just realize that playing PSP is fun enough, especially if we play it with others wirelessly. Our favorite game is Pac Man World Rally. It support up to 4 players …

I won’t write that fun situation, but PSP hacking stuff :)
Fortunately, almost all PSP that sold in my area is using CFW (I bought a used PSP, not the new ones). CFW is Custom Firmware, a firmware which is hacked, and have a capability to run PSP games saved in the memory card. Using this firmware we also able to run third party software, which is called homebrew. Read this article to get more information about that.

One of my PSP has an abnormal analog pad. The stick is too sensitive, and sometimes, it move accidently in the middle of the game. Disturbing enough … :( Googling, and I found a homebrew called joysens created by raphael@fx-world.org. This application has a capability to change the sensitivity of analog pad, and if you need it, fully disable it. Very helpfull application.

Opera Mini is probably the best mobile browser in the world. You can download the latest version of this java midlet from this site. The difference between normal browser and Mini Opera is the way the web data is transferred. Using normal browser, we connect directly to the destination web, but not in the Mini Opera. Using Mini Opera, we connect to the destination web through the Opera Proxy Server. Yes, sure … there is a minus thing (because we surf through the proxy), but in most cases, there are many good thing doing this way.

The most important thing is : the total data transferred to the user is smaller compared to the original ones. Sometimes, it is very small, so it become more more faster to open the web. And for some reason, it can bypass an internal rules because the firewall (or proxy) think that the user connect to the Opera sites (unless they really block Opera Proxy Server off course).

Usually, Mini Opera is running from the mobile phone which has Java capabilities. But, sure … it also possible to run in from the PC. Using the help of microemulator software, a Java ME (Java for Mobile - J2ME) Emulator for PC, it is possible to get Mini Opera running in the PC. There are some J2ME Emulator which is probably better than MicroEmulator, such as SJBoy, but the problem is : SJBoy is not supporting yet a proxy configuration. If you are not behind the proxy, SJBoy is better, because it is a stand-alone application which is not need a Java Runtime installed in the PC (MicroEmulator need it).

Both SJBoy and MicroEmulator has a capability to resize their display just like a normal/PC screen sizes (just to remember that the original purposes of J2ME Emulator is to emulate the Java which is running in the mobile phone with their screen size).
